Session Description:
The COVID-19 crisis has brought on a lot of uncertainty. Providers are juggling clinical requirements while witnessing tangible impacts on their financial statements. Regulations have required changes to clinical protocols and visitation guidelines. As “stay at home” restrictions are lifted, providers will need a plan in place to continue best clinical COVID-19 practice.  CMS/CDC are issuing guidance but it’s up to the providers to implement changes in their organizations. In addition, guidance on testing is rapidly changing. In this session, we will discuss the testing options, what they mean, and review the most recent guidance. As providers are doing their best to keep up with clinical requirements, they also need to keep their eye on the financial side and forecast future possibilities. This session will include an update on occupancy/utilization trends, a breakdown of what we know about the 3 tranches and how this may apply to your facility, a reassessment of the best case, worst case, and best guess financial scenarios and key variables related thereto. And finally, discuss the impact on ancillary companies and how they are providing value.
