Continuing Education Classes
Consonus Pharmacy is offering medication-related education to Medication Aides and Caregivers. Any facility staff are welcome to attend. Classes are FREE to all Consonus clients and a small fee for non-Consonus clients. Consonus Pharmacy is committed to ongoing educational programs that support staff care for residents and provide the best possible patient outcomes and efficiencies.

Dementia-Diagnosis, Treatment, and More
January 18 @ 9:00 am PST - 10:00 am PST
FreeConsultant Pharmacist Nick Lewis teaches this class. In this class, you will learn the difference between normal aging, potential adverse drug effects and signs of dementia. The common types of dementia and symptoms will be discussed, and examples of cognitive tests used in diagnosing will be shared. A pharmacist will discuss the medications available to treat dementia and the drawbacks. Everyone will benefit from the tips for coping as a caregiver.
This 1.0-credit continuing education class is FREE to all Consonus clients. Anyone is welcome to join the class – Nurses, Administrators, Caregivers, Med Aides, etc. Only Oregon CMAs are eligible to earn CE credit for the course.
