As Vice-President of Operations, she’s responsible for strategic planning, implementation and development of Consonus rehab services nationwide. Jonalyn thrives on challenge, and is energized by opportunities to develop strategies that respond to constantly shifting market dynamics. She places high priority on inspiring a high level of accountability, and mentoring therapists and managers to recognize their potential and grow as leaders.

ABOUT ME

When Jonalyn Brown first met him, the patient had suffered a debilitating stroke while traveling, and was lying in a hospital bed far from home. From the acute care setting to a skilled nursing facility, she provided therapy until he was well enough to return to his family. For years after, he sent her flowers on the anniversary of his discharge, and was one of the inspirations for her permanent career shift from acute to senior care.

Jonalyn initially joined Consonus as a rehab director, quickly showcasing her leadership skills by developing an innovative stroke and swallowing program. After leading her teams to outstanding results as an area director, she served as Regional Vice-President for Rehab Operations in Oregon, Washington and California.

Now as Vice-President of Operations, she’s responsible for strategic planning, implementation and development of Consonus rehab services nationwide. Jonalyn thrives on challenge, and is energized by opportunities to develop strategies that respond to constantly shifting market dynamics. She places high priority on inspiring a high level of accountability, and mentoring therapists and managers to recognize their potential and grow as leaders.

Jonalyn holds a Master’s degree in speech language pathology from Portland State University, and has special expertise in lean management and leadership development. She serves on the board at the National Association for the Support of Long-term Care, and is Vice-President of Government Affairs for the Oregon Speech and Hearing Association.

She and her husband have four children, and Jonalyn enjoys running, reading, all manner of outdoor activities and spending time with family. She’s passionate about community involvement through youth soccer and wrestling programs, and actively supports the Vital Life Foundation and its charitable partners.
