David R. Lewis, President
With almost 25 years in the pharmacy and healthcare business, David's had plenty of experience growing long-term care pharmacies - in one case growing Evergreen Pharmaceutical from 8,000 prescriptions per month to 60,000.
Since 2000, David has been leading the Consonus Rehab and Pharmacy business units, notably helping to develop the Rehab division in California and growing it from $0 in revenue to over $1 million a month.
He's extremely proud of the "intentional culture" created at Consonus, with staff members who are passionate about what they do, and who provide consistently extraordinary service to their customers.
David has been married to his wife Susan for 30 years, and has three children: James, Kate and Nicholas. When he gets a free moment, he loves spending time with his family and woodworking.
Guy Cowart, Vice President of Rehab Services
Guy joined the company in April of 2001 to establish a presence in California and has quickly risen to the challenge of his newest role in the company, Vice President of Rehab Operations.
Prior to 2001, he worked for Vencare Rehab in business development, operations and as Western Region Director. In his previous work, Guy learned the importance of retaining employees and training them well, a lesson he continues to believe is the key to a strong organization.
A dedicated foodie and wine aficionado, Guy is just as enthusiastic about his play as his work-guiding his friends through beautiful Napa Valley vineyards or San Francisco restaurants when he's not at his desk.
Charles Bloom, Vice President, Marketing
Charles started in 1994 with Consonus’ sister company where he worked in Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living facilities. While working in that capacity, Charles gained a deeper understanding of the complexities of rehab program management as well as creating strong connections with the company's vendor partners and what they seek in long term care provider relationships.
He believes the best thing about the company is its consistent excellence - in their employees, their work, and the degree of support the staff gives to each other and to their clients.
When Charles isn't working, you can find him all over the globe. He's traveled to over 30 countries in five continents so far, and he's just getting started.
Steve Hood, Vice President, Rehab Sales - OR, WA, ID
Steve Hood has been in the healthcare business for over 20 years, and has worked hard to build strong relationships with his providers and clients (or, as he refers to them, friends).
Steve has served two terms as an associate board member for the Oregon Health Care Association as well as two terms on the Northwest Healthcare Roundtable.
Steve's pretty serious about getting the job done at Consonus, but when he's not at a trade show or visiting clients you can find him relaxing in Central Oregon on Lake Billy Chinook with his wife and three children. (Bonus little-known fact about Steve: he can ride a unicycle!)
Lori Peterson, Vice President, Rehab Sales- CA, NV, TX
Originally a small-town Kansas girl, Lori's worked her way into the big leagues at Consonus. Her healthcare experience is widely varied, from long-term care to acute rehabilitation to corporate wellness. Her 16 years of healthcare experience has given her a unique perspective and a definite ability to guide organizations toward growth.
She works in the California and Texas markets for Consonus, and believes the solid management infrastructure is why the company has been able to create strong business partnerships and customer-centered products and services.
When she's not "playing well with others" at work, you can find her hiking, practicing yoga or taking one of many classes.
John Tipton, Vice President, Pharmacy Sales
John Tipton joined the company in 2007 to manage Pharmacy Sales in the Western Region. With a strong background in medical sales both in the long-term care industry and health care industry as a whole, John is an ideal match for Consonus.
John shows a strong commitment to customer service. And that’s not lip service; John is the type of guy who remembers your name and what your kids are up to. It’s this type of service he’s known for.
When he’s not working, you’ll find John cheering his sons on at sporting events, surfing the Oregon Coast or barbequing in the backyard with family and friends.
Doug Smock, General Manager, Pharmacy Services
Doug's years in the pharmaceutical industry have given him the experience necessary to oversee what we believe are the best long-term care pharmacy services in the Pacific Northwest.
His proudest achievement for the company was his part in creating a work environment employees value and enjoy while creating products and services that make a difference for their customers.
Doug claims to spend most of his free time working (he enjoys it just that much), but also goes bird hunting, fishing or golfing when the idea of "working for fun" finally loses its luster.
Teri Ferreira, General Manager, Washington Pharmacy Services
Teri Ferreira joined Consonus in 2007 as the General Manager of the Washington Long-Term Care Pharmacy. Teri comes to Consonus with over ten years experience in long-term care pharmacy management, and is the immediate past president of the Washington State Pharmacy Association. In addition to day-to-day management of the pharmacy, Terri is steering a dynamic paperless environment which brings electronic medical records (EMR), an increased benefit to Consonus customers.
The great thing about Teri is that in addition to her extensive knowledge in the field of pharmacy, she is very approachable, out-going, and customer service oriented. She’s just fun to be around!
In her free time, Teri can be found spending time with her kids – at sporting events, camping and traveling.
